During these courses we either hand build pieces of our own choice or follow the guidance of our tutor. Sometimes we also choose to engage in group projects for a term. Wild Pottery with Native Hands

As featured on The Guardian website http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2012/aug/23/wild-pottery-weekend-crafts Spend two days in beautiful Sussex woodland making hand built pottery using locally dug raw clay, some of which we will dig on the day. Experiment with making and adding inclusions to strengthen the clay enough for it to be fired in an open fire. It is an exciting and magical to witness clay being transformed by fire (which we will light without matches). Time is set aside for connecting to the beautiful surroundings, making the course a nourishing as well as a learning experience.

Suitable for all levels including beginners. Places limited to a maximum of 8. Led by Ruby Taylor, experienced maker and qualified teacher.
